Anuj Bugga

Anuj Bugga is a Senior Managing Director in the Risk Advisory & Investigations practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment at FTI Consulting and is based in Mumbai, India.

Anuj has extensive experience in counterparty due diligence, business intelligence, litigation support, vendor risk management, supply chain integrity, fraud/FCPA/UKBA investigations, forensic audits, asset tracing, compliance reviews and providing strategic risk mitigation solutions on a broad spectrum of issues and events. He has led complex investigations in the Indian subcontinent and partnered with top global law firms in regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Anuj was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley for seven years and the Head of Corporate Security & Investigations, West Asia, and was a Regional Security Audit Director in Asia Pacific. Anuj was responsible for the development, implementation and management of Morgan Stanley’s in-house Global Due Diligence Support Group in India and also managed employee screening for Asia Pacific, including enhanced screening of financial advisors and directors mandated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He implemented and maintained processes across the organisation to reduce the company’s exposure to fraud, organised crime, money laundering and regulatory risks. He was also responsible for reviewing and assessing security across Morgan Stanley’s offices in Asia Pacific and coordinating the company’s crisis management strategy and risk-related aspects of the business continuity planning program across West Asia.

Prior to joining the corporate sector, Anuj spent 16 years in the Indian Army as a Combat Engineer. As an Engineer Planning Officer and Field Company Commander, he oversaw planning and implementing engineering works involving multimillion-dollar budgets. During Anuj’s service in the Indian Army, he conducted complex investigations relating to counterfeiting fraud and the pilferage of military supplies and equipment. Anuj also served as a Field Intelligence Officer.

Anuj has a B.Tech (Civil) and B.S. from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
