Charles Mikulka

Charles Mikulka is a Senior Managing Director with FTI Consulting and is based in New York. Mr. Mikulka has more than 40 years of diversified experience in the chemical and related industries and has directed engagements in litigation support, technical and economic analyses, competitor appraisals, industry analyses, and merger and acquisition transactions. Product areas of specialization include petrochemicals, commodity and a wide range of specialty and performance chemicals. Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2010, Mr. Mikulka was a Managing Director at LECG from August, 2007 to February 2010. From 2004 through July 2007, Mr. Mikulka was the Managing Director and Director of proprietary services for Chemical Market Associates (“CMAI”) in its New York office.

In 1998, Mr. Mikulka Co-Founded CPI Consulting Associates and was its President from its inception through its merger with Chemical Market Associates in 2004. From 1979 to 1988, Mr. Mikulka was employed at Chem Systems, a chemical industry consultancy.

While completing his MBA program at New York University, Mr. Mikulka worked at Scientific Design from 1977 to 1979 as a Process/Project Engineer and in Technology Licensing. From 1975 to 1977, Mr. Mikulka was with Stauffer Chemical as a Rotational Chemical Engineer. Mr. Mikulka began his career with DuPont in 1973 as a Research Engineer.

During his extensive career, Mr. Mikulka has performed major consulting projects for the energy, utility, biotechnology, financial, legal, transportation and chemical industries, as well as for government and institutional organizations. He has managed proprietary assignments ranging from techno/economic evaluations and market analyses to in-depth acquisition, strategic planning studies and damages assessment.

Mr. Mikulka received his M.B.A. in Management/International Business from New York University, his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
