About Christie
Christie Corbett specializes in advising corporate and financial buyers on hundreds of buy and sell-side transactions in various industries, including healthcare, software, technology and consumer products.
Ms. Corbett has provided a broad range of services to her clients, including financial due diligence, forecast and valuation analysis, merger integration and carve-out support, business process improvement, interim management and lender services advisory. A representative list of private equity and lending clients Ms. Corbett has worked with include Goldman Sachs, Capital One, Platinum Equity, BlackRock, Galen Capital and HIG Capital. Corporate clients include Flowers Foods, Catholic Health Initiatives, ShareCare and Sound Physicians.
Specific to the healthcare sector, Ms. Corbett has advised on transactions for acute care hospitals, post acute facilities (skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care and rehabilitation), home and behavioral health, physician practice management, urgent care, labs, medical devices and healthcare-related technologies. Ms. Corbett has served as the financial advisor to a group of senior lenders invested in a specialty pharmacy business operating in 22 states. In this role, Ms. Corbett advised on business plan reviews, market studies, cash flow requirements and strategic option analysis.
Ms. Corbett also led post-merger integration efforts and a process improvement initiative for corporate clients. Ms. Corbett served as a team leader in a transaction involving a divestiture of 350 retail stores from a publicly traded national chain, which involved financial due diligence, modeling, supply chain analysis and merger integration support.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Corbett was the AVP of Mergers & Acquisitions for ChoicePoint, Inc, which was a $1 billion public company prior to its acquisition by Reed Elsevier in 2008. ChoicePoint was a leading provider of business analytics, technology, software and information services largely to customers in the insurance, banking and governmental industries.
While at ChoicePoint, Ms. Corbett executed eight acquisitions in the software and services industries, as well as several divestitures of non-core businesses. Prior to ChoicePoint, she was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Services practice. Ms. Corbett began her career with KPMG, where she became a Manager in the audit practice.
Ms. Corbett currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Clemson University Research Foundation, whose priority is to move technology, created through research and creative inquiry, out of the laboratory and into commercial markets.
