Sam Davies

Sam Davies brings more than 15 years of experience in research and development, engineering and analytics in emerging technologies and complex infrastructure applications. Mr. Davies has extensive hands-on product development expertise in blockchain technology, and as part of the Blockchain and Digital Assets practice, he builds blockchain-based products, services, infrastructure and programs across a wide range of use cases.

Mr. Davies is also an expert in software as a service (“SaaS”) and artificial intelligence and holds multiple patents in user interfaces for multimedia archives, audio analysis and emotion extraction from text. He has supported numerous Fortune 500 clients across global geographies in identifying and building blockchain for the manufacturing, technology, automotive and financial services industries. Mr. Davies also led product development teams in the successful design, development and delivery of blockchain-based SaaS platforms.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Davies was Director of Global Innovation at EY, where he served as the Global Product and Platform Lead and the UK Blockchain Lead, overseeing a team of more than 100 engineers, designers and product developers. He has also held Lead Technologist, Senior Developer and Research Engineer roles with organisations including Digital Catapult, Elsevier and BBC Research & Development. Mr. Davies has a distinguished academic background, holding multiple master’s degrees with merit and distinction in Computer Science and Engineering, in addition to publishing several academic articles.
