Sara Powell

Sara Powell is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and leads the Sustainability and ESG practice in London.

With over 10 years' experience in the energy and mining sectors advising clients on sustainability focused programmes, Sara now works with companies across all industries to define what sustainability means to them by identifying the two-way relationship between business and society. Sara's expertise includes sustainability strategy development, programme development and ESG reporting. With over 14 year's communications and advocacy experience, Sara works with companies to adopt a responsible and transparent approach to stakeholder engagement.

Sara has extensive experience in the global sustainable development agenda. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Sara worked at the UK's largest philanthropic organisation focused on child well-being and climate change. Sara worked within the Leverage team which was responsible for maximising and extending the impact of the Foundation's grants in India and Sub-Saharan Africa through high-level advocacy efforts targeted at decision-makers within government development funds, multilateral agencies and philanthropic foundations.

Sara holds a BA Honours in Politics from the University of Exeter and is a graduate from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership's Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions course.
